![]() In comparison, HI3 is more of a story book telling stories in visual novel style with battle stages in between stories, while Genshin is more on the rpg. And most part of the main story you will be provided with a pre-built character to use, so you will only need minimum grind to enjoy all the story. HI3 is not built to be grindy unless you want a piece of the players ranking at "end game", for the majority of players, all of HI3 stories inside the game (not counting the readings and games outside HI3) can be completed around Lv60, and they've lowered the equirement to Lv30 to unlock all stories recently. If you just want some time waster action rpg to past time, Genshin is your better choice. If you are into reading tons and tons of lore, the Honkai universe is your stuff, you can view it as the miniature copy of "Touhou Project" in Japan(Shanghai Alice) but this one's from China(miHoYo). Genshin is like a spin-off from this whole universe of Honkai. In short, Honkai Project was the main project going on in miHoYo for a long time (ever since China lifted the Video Game Ban), it includes multiple games, manga, visual novels and even a short anime with HI3 currently being in the center as a Hub to some of these media, while the newest game from Honkai series will be "Star Rails". ![]() Comparing HI3 with Genshin is like Comparing Legends of Heroes Series with Dragon Slayer Series(The ancestor of all action RPGs).
